Remember when Dodge released the “limited-production” Hellcat Durango, only to re-release it more than once after the initial run sold out? Owners of the original SUV remember, and they’re currently locked in a legal battle with the automaker over claims of having been misled about the Durango Hellcat’s time on sale. With that said, it shouldn’t be surprising to hear that Dodge isn’t done with the Hellcat-powered SUV just yet, and is planning a round of new units for 2026.
Dodge is being careful not to call this release a final edition or anything close to it. We’ll learn more about the Hellcat-powered family hauler later this year, but Dodge detailed the rest of the Durango line, which includes Hemi V8 and V6 powertrain options.
The 2026 Durango R/T comes with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. That’s a far cry from the Hellcat’s 710 horsepower, but the R/T is also significantly less expensive. The Durango GT comes with the base 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, which makes 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
Dodge expanded the availability of the Blacktop Redline package for 2026, making it an option for the R/T trim in addition to the GT variant. It includes 20-inch black wheels, blacked-out badges, SRT black exhaust tips, and more. Leather and suede upholstery with red accent stitching is also included.
Pricing for the 2026 Durango GT starts at $38,495 and the R/T costs $49,995 to start before destination. Orders for the R/T and GT open this month, ahead of their expected on-sale date in the third quarter.
