The Honda Prologue has long been one of the best EV deals in the industry, thanks to aggressive incentives and discount programs. Those efforts will continue in the 2025 model year, as CarsDirect recently reported about a deal that could give buyers some of the best deals seen for the SUV yet.
Honda is offering up to $16,500 in savings and 0.99 percent financing for qualified buyers. That comes out to $2,000 in lease/finance cash, a $7,500 EV lease credit, and other incentives that cut into the Prologue’s price tag. Buyers not eligible for the lease credit may receive the $7,500 federal tax credit instead.
California buyers and those in other zero-emissions states may receive $2,500 in lease or finance cash, and the 0.99 percent interest rate extends to five years. The total $16,500 in savings applies to both financing and leasing.
All in, those discounts make the $51,580 Prologue EX just $159 a month for 36 months after a $3,999 down payment. That’s a lower monthly payment than the best Honda HR-V lease, which lands at $289 per month, and it’s cheaper than the CR-V Hybrid, which is available for $369 per month.
The Prologue, which shares its underlying engineering with the Chevy Blazer EV and other GM models, offers decent range numbers and fast charging. That said, it’s far from engaging, and it’s weird to sit in a Honda with so many GM-designed interior bits. I’ve owned one for a little over a year at this point, after receiving a similarly compelling lease offer, and can say that, for less than $300 a month, the Prologue is a great deal.
